Chapter: Moderation in the Khutbah
Hadith 1583
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، قال : " كُنْتُ أُصَلِّي مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَكَانَتْ صَلَاتُهُ قَصْدًا , وَخُطْبَتُهُ قَصْدًا " .
´It was narrated that Jabir bin Samurah said:` "I used to pray with the Prophet (ﷺ) and his prayer was moderate in length and his Khutbah was moderate in length."
