Chapter: Starting with Fatihatil-Kitab (The Opening of The Book) before another Surah
Hadith 903
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قال : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ قال : كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ ، وَعُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا " يَسْتَفْتِحُونَ الْقِرَاءَةَ بِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ سورة الفاتحة آية 2 " .
´It was narrated from Anas that:` The Prophet (ﷺ), Abu Bakr, and Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, would start their recitation with: "All the praise and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of all that exists.
Hadith 904
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الزُّهْرِيُّ قال : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ قال : صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَعَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، وَعُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا " فَافْتَتَحُوا بِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ سورة الفاتحة آية 2 " .
´It was narrated from Anas:` "I prayed with the Prophet (ﷺ) and with Abu Bakr and Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, and they started with "All the praise and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of all that exists."
