´It was narrated from Ash'ath bin Abi Ash-Sha'tha' that his father said:` "I saw Abu Hurairah, when a man passed by in the Masjid until he parted from it - after the call. Abu Hurairah said: 'This man has indeed disobeyed Abu Al-Qasim (S.A.W).'"

684. Commentary:
➊ It is prohibited to leave the mosque without a valid reason after the call to prayer (adhan). If there is a necessity, for example, to perform ablution (wudu) or to lead a congregation elsewhere, then one may leave the mosque, because in such a case, he is not fleeing from the prayer. Regarding the person mentioned in the hadith, Abu Hurairah radi Allahu anhu was certain that he had left without a valid reason. For further details on this issue, see the introduction of this very book.
➋ Abu al-Qasim was the kunyah (agnomen) of the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
➌ Such a narration, which apparently is not a direct statement of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, but a companion has stated it in a partial manner, is considered, in terms of ruling, to fall under the category of a marfu‘ (elevated) narration.
