´It was narrated that 'Aishah said:` "The Prophet (ﷺ) used to say: 'Allahumaghsil khatayaya bi-ma'ith-thalj wal-barad was naqqi qalbi min al-khataya kama naqayta ath-thawb al-abyad min ad-danas (O Allah, was away my sins with the water of snow and hail, and cleanse my heart of sin as a white garment is cleansed of filth.'"

61. Commentary:
➊ Performing ablution (wudu) with snow water is permissible, as its clarification has already passed in the previous hadith.
➋ A person should always continue to seek forgiveness (istighfar) and should also supplicate for the cleansing of the heart from the filth of sins, because it is the chief of all the limbs, and the soundness of the other limbs depends upon it as well. As is mentioned in the Sahihayn: "Behold! There is a piece of flesh in the body; when it is sound, the whole body is sound, and when it is corrupt, the whole body is corrupt. Behold! That (piece) is the heart." [صحیح البخاري ، الایمان ، حدیث : 52 ، و صحیح مسلم ، المساقاۃ ، حدیث : 1599]
