´It was narrated from 'Abdullah Ad-Dailami that his father Fairuz said:` "I came to the Messenger of Allah [SAW] and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, we have grapevines and Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, has revealed that Khamr (wine) is forbidden, so what should we do?' He said: 'Make raisins.' I said: 'What should we do with the raisins?' He said: 'Soak them in the morning and drink them in the evening, and soak them in the evening and drink them in the morning.' I said: 'Can we leave it until it gets stronger?' He said: 'Do not put it in clay vessels, rather put it in skins, for if it stays there for a long time, it will turn into vinegar.'"

Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Muhammad Ameen
(1) From this hadith, the permissibility of making nabidh in leather waterskins is established.
(2) This hadith also shows that drinking nabidh or using any other “dish” with the morning and evening meals is legally permissible. This is not considered extravagance.
(3) “What should we do?”—the purpose of this question was that grapes cannot be kept for a long time; they spoil. It is not possible to eat so many grapes immediately. We have been prohibited from making wine; otherwise, we would have prepared wine from them, stored it, and continued to sell it. In other words, they were pointing to an economic difficulty: if our crop is wasted in this way, what should we do? So the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) suggested this solution: dry the grapes and make raisins (munqā) from them. Then, eat them whenever you wish, or sell them whenever you wish.
(4) “What should we do with the raisins?”—the purpose of this question was: besides eating, what other permissible use is there for us? The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: you may prepare nabidh from them and drink it, but with the precaution that it does not become intoxicating.
(5) “It will become vinegar”—this is the reason for not making nabidh in a clay pot: if nabidh remains in a clay pot for a long time, it will become intoxicating and thus unlawful. Whereas if it remains in a waterskin for a long time, at most it will become sour and turn into vinegar, meaning it can be used like vinegar. Intoxication will not develop, so it will not be wasted.

Benefits and Issues:
Benefit: The original nabidh (date or raisin infusion) that is lawful is precisely the one whose clarification has come in the words of the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) himself.
That is, the beverage made by mixing the pulp of dried fruit in water—your words indicate that the original and lawful nabidh was consumed without boiling or exposing it to sunlight.
And after being prepared, it was used within such a time frame that the process of fermentation or souring would not even begin in it.
This same beverage, when kept for a longer period and made intoxicating, is also called nabidh by those who drink it.
Some jurists have declared such a beverage to be lawful as well.
According to them, khamr (wine) is only that intoxicant which is made from grape juice.
In their view, all other beverages are lawful.
Imam Abu Dawud, in this chapter, has introduced the original nabidh, described the nature of the original nabidh, and explained in detail what is the maximum time limit for its use after being prepared.
He has clarified everything in detail.
Through these ahadith, he has made it clear
that a beverage made from the pulp of fruits other than grape juice, when the process of fermentation begins in it or fermenting agents are added to initiate this process, then it is unlawful.
