Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Muhammad Ameen
This is the fourth narration from which the Hanafis have deduced the permissibility of consuming a small amount of intoxicating drinks other than khamr (wine), even though this narration, like the previous three, is also transmitted by an unknown and weak narrator. Moreover, there are well-known and authentic narrations transmitted from Ibn Umar radi Allahu anhu that contradict this narration. It is evident that practice is based on well-known and authentic narrations, not on weak and unknown ones. For details, see .
