Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Muhammad Ameen
Walking in a single shoe is contrary to human dignity. It is something that becomes a spectacle for people. People will laugh upon seeing it. From a distance, he will appear to be limping. Due to the imbalance, he may also fall. Therefore, instead of wearing one shoe, he should have the broken strap repaired; otherwise, he should walk barefoot. However, if due to some illness or difficulty it is not possible to wear a shoe on one foot, then there is no harm, because this difficulty is from Allah. Moreover, illness and difficulty can persist for a long time. Walking barefoot for such a long period would cause further hardship.
