أَخْبَرَنِي يُوسُفُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : بَلَغَنِي ، عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي زِيَادُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ بُسْرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ الثَّقَفِيَّةِ ، قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا شَهِدَتْ إِحْدَاكُنَّ الصَّلَاةَ ، فَلَا تَمَسَّ طِيبًا " . قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ : وَهَذَا غَيْرُ مَحْفُوظٍ مِنْ حَدِيثِ الزُّهْرِيِّ .
´It was narrated that Zainab Ath-Thaqafiyyah said:` "The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'If one of you wants to attend the prayer, let her not touch perfume.'"
Brief Explanation
1؎: That is: It is not reliably established that Basar is the narrator from Zuhri; the narration with "Bukair" in his place is reliably established. In any case, the narration itself is authentic.

The statement of Imam al-Nasa'i rahimahullah means that the aforementioned narration with the chain: from al-Zuhri, from Busar ibn Sa'id, from Zaynab al-Thaqafiyyah is not correct. Rather, the authentic narration is with this chain: from Bukayr, from Busar ibn Sa'id, from Zaynab al-Thaqafiyyah, because the hadith scholars (huffaz muhaddithin) rahimahumullah have narrated this hadith in this manner (with the chain of Bukayr). The one who narrates it with the chain of al-Zuhri is Sa'id, and he is a weak narrator.
