´It was narrated from Qatadah that:` He heard Anas say: "The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'None of you has believed until I am dearer to him than his son, his father and all the people.'"

Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Muhammad Ameen
(1) The purpose of the chapter heading established by Imam Nasa’i rahimahullah is to state that loving the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam more than anyone else is a sign and proof of a person’s perfect faith (iman).

(2) “More beloved” here refers to intellectual love, which is also called obedience. In any case, love is only known through obedience. Love is a hidden thing, and even a false claim to it can be made. The confirmation of love is only through obedience. Allah the Exalted says: {Say, “If you love Allah, then follow me”} [Aal Imran: 3:31] . The meaning is that if there is a conflict between the command of the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and one’s own children or personal desires, then in every case, the command of the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam should be given preference. Fadah Abi wa Nafsi wa Ruhi sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
