بَابُ : الْقَدْرِ الَّذِي إِذَا سَرَقَهُ السَّارِقُ قُطِعَتْ يَدُهُChapter: The Value for which, if it is stolen, the (Thief's) Hand is to be cut off
Hadith 4916

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : " قَطَعَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فِي مِجَنٍّ قِيمَتُهُ خَمْسَةُ دَرَاهِمَ " ، هَذَا الصَّوَابُ .
´It was narrated that Anas said:` "Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, cut off (a thief's hand) for a shield that was worth five Dirhams.

The purpose is that this narration of Anas (radi Allahu anhu) from Abu Bakr (radi Allahu anhu) is correct, that is, it is correct as a mawquf narration, not as a marfu‘ narration.
