“Become partners”: The meaning of this partnership is that whatever we receive, we will divide it equally. There is no harm in such a partnership where two or three people join together in work and then become equal partners in the income obtained. Even though all the people do not perform the same kind of work, there is leniency in partnership. In the terminology of the jurists (fuqaha), such a partnership is called shirkah al-abdan (partnership of bodies/labor).
