´It was narrated from 'Ubaidullah bin 'Abdullah bin 'Utbah that Maimunah, the wife of the Prophet, took a loan, and it was said to her:` "O Mother of the Believers, why have you taken a loan when you do not have the means to pay if off?" She said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Whoever takes a loan intending to pay it back, Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, will help him."'

Benefits and Issues:

➊ It is permissible to take a loan when there is a need, however, it is better to avoid it.

➋ When taking a loan, one should have the intention to repay it as soon as possible.

➌ Allah Ta’ala helps those who have such an intention, and they are able to repay the loan with ease, provided that they make a sincere effort to repay and do not show negligence in this matter.

➍ Good intention holds great importance in the sight of Allah Ta’ala.

➎ If a person passes away before repaying the loan, it is the duty of the heirs to repay it. If it is not repaid, then on the Day of Judgment, repayment will have to be made in the form of good deeds.

Hafiz Muhammad Ameen
"Will pay it off" means that Allah will grant him the ability to repay, or He will inspire one of His righteous servants to pay off the debt on his behalf.
