In "Al-Ta‘liqat al-Salafiyyah" it is stated that perhaps Imam al-Nasa’i rahimahullah is indicating the weakness of this statement, because in the previous narration, number 4588, it has already been mentioned that he did not prefer exchanging dirhams for dinars or dinars for dirhams even in ordinary circumstances, let alone permitting it in the case of a loan. And Allah knows best. The author of "Dhakheerat al-‘Uqba" states that this chain of narration has already appeared three hadiths earlier. In that instance, he disliked taking dinars in place of dinars and dirhams in place of dirhams, whereas in this narration it is mentioned that he did not see any harm in it, even if it was in the case of a loan. The commentator states that the narration in which there is no harm considered in doing so is more preferable (rajih) compared to the previous narration. The reason for this is that this narration is in agreement with the narration reported by Imam Sufyan al-Thawri rahimahullah, in which the absence of dislike (karahah) is mentioned. And Allah knows best! See: (Dhakheerat al-‘Uqba, Sharh Sunan al-Nasa’i by al-‘Atyubi: 35/20)
