أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ , عَنْ مَالِكٍ , عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ أَبِي تَمِيمٍ , عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " الدِّينَارُ بِالدِّينَارِ , وَالدِّرْهَمُ بِالدِّرْهَمِ , لَا فَضْلَ بَيْنَهُمَا " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said:` "Dinar for Dinar Dirham for Dirham, no difference between them."
Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Muhammad Ameen
In ancient times, the dinar was made from gold and the dirham from silver. The ruling for gold is the same as that for the dinar, and the ruling for silver is the same as that for the dirham.
