Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Muhammad Ameen
This narration is contrary to the previous narration in that, in the narration granting concession, Abu Qatadah (radi Allahu anhu) is the one relating it, and Abu Sa‘id (radi Allahu anhu) is the one refusing to eat; whereas in this narration, Abu Qatadah (radi Allahu anhu) is the one refusing to eat, and the narrator of the concession is Abu Sa‘id (radi Allahu anhu). The first narration is authentic because it is in accordance with Sahih al-Bukhari. In this narration, there has been a "qalb" (reversal), meaning this narration is reversed (maqloob).
