Brief Explanation
1؎: This restriction was in the beginning; later, permission was granted to keep (store) meat, as will be mentioned in the next chapter. This depends on circumstances and conditions: if people are in greater need of meat, then hoarding is not permissible; otherwise, it is permissible. (See Hadith number 4434.)
Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Muhammad Ameen
(1) Taking into consideration the needs of those afflicted by poverty and hunger, the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) temporarily forbade the noble Companions (radi Allahu anhum) from eating and storing the meat of sacrificial animals for more than three days. Later, when circumstances improved, he (alayhis salam) lifted this restriction. This is explicitly mentioned in the forthcoming ahadith. In light of this background, it becomes clear that the commentator (alayhis salam) has given due consideration to human welfare. Therefore, even now, if similar difficulties arise due to straitened circumstances, the aforementioned course of action may be adopted.

(2) In the next chapter, Imam al-Nasa’i (rahimahullah) has brought ahadith in which there is a concession regarding eating and storing the meat of sacrificial animals for more than three days. Therefore, it is now permissible to eat and store the meat for more than three days; however, it remains obligatory to give to the poor.

Hadith Commentary:
Vocabulary of the Hadith:
yuqalliluha yuzahhiduha:
The second word emphasizes the meaning of the first word, because the meaning of "tazhid" is also "taqlil" (to make little or to diminish).
This is because a person becomes disinterested in and avoids something that is little and insignificant.
