´It was narrated from 'Aishah that:` the Messenger of Allah ordered that the hides of dead animals be made use of if they had been tanned. (Daif)

(1) The verifier of the book has declared the mentioned narration to be weak in its chain of transmission; however, this narration, on the basis of other supporting evidences and corroborations, is reliable and actionable. (2) “He commanded” means he granted permission and concession. It is possible that the command itself is intended, because permission to waste wealth is not given.

Narrated Aishah, Ummul Muminin: The Prophet ﷺ ordered that the skins of the animals which had died a natural death should be used when they are tanned.

Benefits and Issues: If a lawful (halal) animal dies (i.e., becomes a carcass), its skin becomes pure by tanning.
