´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said " The Messenger of Allah said:` 'No ruler is appointed but he has tow groups of advisers: A group which urges him to do good and tells him not to do evil, and a group which does its best to corrupt him. Whoever is protected from their evil is indeed protected. And he (the ruler) belongs to the group that has the greater influence over him."

Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Muhammad Ameen
It is understood from this that the success or failure of a leader or ruler depends on his advisors. If the advisors are good, the ruler will remain good; and if the advisors are bad, the ruler will also become bad, even if he is good in himself. This is the meaning of the last sentence: that the ruler will be counted among the type of advisors who predominate over him; his own personal qualities will not be taken into consideration. Experience also testifies to this, as some bad rulers have gained a good reputation due to good advisors. For example, the appointment of Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz rahimahullah at the hands of Sulayman ibn Abd al-Malik is an achievement of a good advisor.
