Allahumma naqqini minha kama yunaqqa ath-thawb al-abyad min ad-danas, Allahumma tahhirni bith-thalji wal-barad wal-ma' al-barid (O Allah, purify me of sin and error, O Allah cleanse me of it as a white garment is cleansed of dirt, O Allah purify me with snow and hail and cold water)."

´It was narrated that Ibn Abi Awfa said:` "The Prophet (ﷺ) used to say: 'Allahumma tahhirni bith-thalji wal-barad wal-ma' al-barid, Allahumma tahhirni min adh-dhunub kama yutahhar ath-thawb al-abyad min ad-danas (O Allah, purify me with snow and hail and cold water, O Allah, purify me of sin as a white garment is cleansed of dirt)."
Hafiz Muhammad Ameen
403. Commentary: Generally, warm water is used to remove dirt and filth, not cold water. However, here, by "snow, water, and hail," the special mercies of Allah Ta'ala are meant; therefore, coolness is mentioned, as it is a source of tranquility. Allah's mercy cannot be attributed to fire (water is heated by fire). For this reason, cool water is mentioned. Moreover, in the extremely hot climate of Arabia, cool water is desirable and beloved.

Explanation: 1: O Allah! Cool my heart with snow, hail, and cold water, and purify my heart from errors just as You have purified a white garment from filth and dirt.
