Hadith 4001

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " أَوَّلُ مَا يُقْضَى بَيْنَ النَّاسِ فِي الدِّمَاءِ " .
´It was narrated that 'Abdullah said:` "The first matter concerning which scores will be settled among the people will be bloodshed."

English translation:
That is, the killers will be sent to Hell provided that they were not killed in retribution (qisas) in this world. Or, the murdered will be sent to Paradise by giving them the good deeds of their killers, and the sins of the murdered will be placed upon the killers. And Allah knows best.
