Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Muhammad Ameen
This narration has been transmitted from Imam Zuhri by several individuals, such as: Imam Malik, Aqil bin Khalid, and Shu‘ayb bin Abu Hamzah, among others. Both Imam Malik and Aqil bin Khalid have narrated this hadith as connected (mawsul), whereas Shu‘ayb bin Abu Hamzah has narrated it as disconnected (mursal). However, this difference does not affect the authenticity of the hadith, because the narrators who have transmitted it as connected are trustworthy (thiqat). And Allah knows best.
