32. Commentary: If there is no designated place for urination in the house, or it is not possible to reach there, then urinating in a vessel near the bed and pouring it outside in the morning is a good way to protect the house from impurity. Otherwise, if urination occurs in various places, the entire house will become impure. However, it is necessary that the urine should not remain in the vessel for too long, because apart from the bad smell, there is also the risk that some domestic animal might drink it thinking it is water, or might bump into the vessel and the urine could spill inside the house. Therefore, as soon as morning comes, it should be poured outside the house or in a designated place.

Benefits and Issues: If, due to illness, cold, or any other excuse, a person urinates in a vessel and later pours it out outside, there is no harm in this.
