1؎: That is, their garments will be made of hair, or their garments will be so thick and long that they will hang down like clothing. 2؎: That is, there will be hair on their sandals, or their sandals will be made from hair.
Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Muhammad Ameen
(1) "Faces"—that is, their faces will be hard and thick, as if leather has been overlaid on iron. (2) Since the Turks are inhabitants of cold regions, they are compelled to wear woolen garments and shoes. This is their necessity. Some scholars have interpreted this to mean that their bodies will have long hair which will serve as clothing and shoes for them, but this meaning is not correct because it is contrary to observation. The bodies of the Turks have very little hair; in fact, all people who live in cold regions tend to have less body hair.
