´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` "The Hour will not begin until the Muslims fight the Turks, a people with faces like hammered shields who wear clothes made of hair and shoes made of hair."
Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Muhammad Ameen
(1) "Faces"—that is, their faces will be hard and thick, as if leather has been overlaid on iron. (2) Since the Turks are inhabitants of cold regions, they are compelled to wear woolen garments and shoes. This is their necessity. Some scholars have interpreted this to mean that their bodies will have long hair which will serve as clothing and shoes for them, but this meaning is not correct because it is contrary to observation. The bodies of the Turks have very little hair; in fact, all people who live in cold regions tend to have less body hair.
