Hadith 3150

´It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin Tha'labah said:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Wrap them up with their blood, for there is no wound incurred in the cause of Allah, but he will come on the Day of Resurrection bleeding with the color of blood, but its fragrance will be that of musk.'"

Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Muhammad Ameen
1) "Like musk": In reality, musk itself is also blood. If, in this world, blood can be transformed into a superior fragrance, then all the more so will this occur in the Hereafter. There is no problem in this. (1) The martyr (shahid) is neither given a ritual bath (ghusl) nor are his blood-stained clothes removed, so that his blood becomes a mark of honor for him on the Day of Resurrection, and so that everyone may recognize that this is a martyr in the path of Allah (fi sabilillah). However, an open sheet is placed over him which covers his head and feet. If the sheet is small, then the head should be covered; if the feet remain uncovered, there is no harm.
