´Abu Hurairah narrated that:` Abu Bakr sent him, during the Hajj that the Messenger of Allah appointed him to lead before the Farewell Pilgrimage, with a group of other to announce to the people: "No idolater is to perform Hajj after this year, and no one is to circumambulate the House naked."
Explanation & Benefits

This pertains to the year 9 Hijri. Although Makkah Mukarramah had been conquered prior to the Hajj of 8 Hijri, neither did the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) himself perform Hajj that year, nor did he appoint anyone as the leader (amir) of Hajj. Rather, Hajj was performed under the leadership of the governor of Makkah Mukarramah, Hazrat Attab bin Asid (radi Allahu anhu), on behalf of the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam). However, this Hajj was conducted according to the previous method, because the complete Islamic rulings regarding Hajj had not yet been revealed. In fact, according to the statement of many researchers, the obligation (fardiyyah) of Hajj itself was revealed in 9 Hijri.
In 9 Hijri, the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) sent Hazrat Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (radi Allahu anhu) as the leader (amir) of Hajj. The Muslims performed Hajj under his leadership according to the Islamic method, but that year a large number of disbelievers (kuffar) also came to perform Hajj. They performed Hajj according to their own customs. According to the command of the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), announcements were made at various places in Mina that henceforth no polytheist (mushrik) would be allowed to perform Hajj.
In 10 Hijri, the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) himself went in person. Nearly all the Muslims were also present. He had Hajj performed in the pure Islamic manner. That year, no polytheist was present. This was also the last year of the Prophet’s (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) life. Three months later, he joined his “Highest Companion (Rafiq al-A‘la).” May my soul, my spirit, my father, and my mother be sacrificed for him.
