272. Commentary: In the state of menstruation (hayd) and major ritual impurity (janabah), one may enter the mosque in case of extreme necessity; however, staying in the mosque in this state is not permissible because the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: "I do not make the mosque lawful for a menstruating woman or one in a state of major ritual impurity (janabah)." 384. Commentary: Imam Ishaq bin Ibrahim is the second teacher of Imam Nasa'i rahimahullah in this hadith, and he has narrated this hadith from Jarir. 261. Commentary:
In the wording of this hadith, the phrase «من المسجد» can be connected to two words: if it is connected to «ناوليني», then the translation will be, "Pick me up from the mosque and bring me." The second possibility is its connection to «’’قال‘‘», in which case the translation will be: "The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said to me from the mosque, 'Hand me the mat.'"

Ruling: If a menstruating woman (ha'idha) or a person in a state of major ritual impurity (junub) extends their hand to pick up or place something in the mosque, it is permissible.

Commentary:

It is prohibited for a woman to enter the mosque in the state of menstruation (hayd) or postnatal bleeding (nifas).

(2)
Standing outside the mosque and taking something needed from the mosque, or placing something in the mosque, does not fall under the ruling of entering the mosque; rather, this is permissible.
