Hafiz Muhammad Ameen
(1) The clarification of the issue mentioned in the hadith has already been discussed in the benefits of Hadith: 2639. Please refer to that section.
(2) The previous thirteen narrations concerning deputed Hajj (Hajj badal) mention, in some places, the questioner as a man and in others as a woman. In some narrations, the question pertains to a living person, while in others, it concerns a deceased person. In some narrations, the father is mentioned, in others the mother, and in some, the sister. However, wherever there was any anomaly (shudhudh) in a narration, its clarification has been provided. Therefore, there is nothing problematic in this, because the same issue can arise for multiple individuals. Especially since, during the Farewell Pilgrimage (Hajjat al-Wada’), people from all regions were present. Practically, this was the first Hajj after its obligation was established. Generally, people were not familiar with the rulings of Hajj, so many asked questions according to their own circumstances. Thus, all the narrations are correct in their respective contexts. There is no confusion. And Allah knows best.
