´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said:` "A Dirham surpassed a hundred thousand Dirhams." They said: "How?" He said: "A man had two Dirhams and gave one in charity, and another man went part of his wealth and took out a hundred thousand Dirhams and gave them in charity."

1؎: The meaning is that, in terms of reward, consideration is given to the condition of the giver, not to the wealth given. In the sight of Allah, in terms of value and worth, one hundred thousand dirhams are not equal to the single dirham of that poor person who possessed only two dirhams, and out of those two, he gave one in the way of Allah.
Explanation & Benefits

The aforementioned narration and the following narration have been declared weak in chain (sanadan da‘if) by the researcher of the book, while among other scholars, some have graded it as hasan, some as sahih, and some have ruled its chain to be strong (isnadahu qawi). Furthermore, while conducting a scholarly discussion on these hadiths, they have also mentioned their supporting narrations (shawahid) and corroborating narrations (mutaba‘at). From this, it is understood that despite this narration being weak in chain, it is still actionable and a valid proof. For further details, see: (Dhakheerat al-‘Uqba Sharh Sunan al-Nasa’i: 22/349-351, al-Mawsu‘ah al-Hadithiyyah Musnad al-Imam Ahmad: 14/498, Sahih Sunan al-Nasa’i by al-Albani: 2/203, nos. 2526, 2527).
Moreover, Allah Ta‘ala does not look at the number (quantity), but rather at the intention and the state of the heart of the one who spends. The Divine statement is: ﴿لَنْيَنَالَاللَّهَلُحُومُهَاوَلادِمَاؤُهَاوَلَكِنْيَنَالُهُالتَّقْوَىمِنْكُمْ﴾ (al-Hajj: 37) “Neither their meat nor their blood reaches Allah, but what reaches Him is your piety (taqwa) and sincerity.”
It should be remembered that the reward is also for this very thing.
