´It was narrated that 'Alqamah said:` "I was with Ibn Masud when he was with "uthman, and 'Uthman said: 'Whoever among you has the means, let him get married, for it is more effective in lowering the gaze and guarding one's chastity. And whoever cannot, then fasting will be a shield for him." (Sahih) Abu 'Abdur-Rahman (An-Nasai) said: This (narrator) is Abu Mashar, his name is Ziyad bin Kulaib, and he is trustworthy. He was a companion of Ibrahim. Mansur, Mughirah, and Shubah reported from him. (As for) Abu Mashar AL-Madini; his name is Najih and he is weak, and with his weakness, he also became confused, he narrated Munkar narrations, among them: Muhammad bin 'Amr from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet, who said: "What is between the east and the west is the Qiblah. And among them: Hisham bin 'Urwah, from his father, from 'Aishah, from the Prophet: "Do not cut meat with the knife, rather gnaw at it."

Brief Explanation
1؎: It is narrated by al-Tirmidhi (342) and Ibn Majah (1011) (Tuhfat al-Ashraf 15124). Hafiz Ibn Hajar writes in al-Nukat al-Zuraf that Khalili, in al-Irshad, has narrated it through another chain: Abu Ma'shar from Hisham from his father from Aisha. In this hadith, Abu Ma'shar Najih ibn Abd al-Rahman al-Sindi is present, who is a weak narrator. That is why Hafiz Ibn Hajar said about him: "Da'if asan wa ikhtalat," meaning he is weak, lived a long life, and suffered from confusion (ikhtilat). For this reason, Imam al-Nasa'i, after authenticating Abu Ma'shar Ziyad ibn Kulayb present in the chapter, mentioned the other narrator with the same kunyah, i.e., Najih ibn Abd al-Rahman al-Sindi, along with his rejected (munkar) hadiths, so that there would be a distinction between the two. This is a merit of Imam al-Nasa'i's book, that he records such beneficial notes. However, the mentioned hadith is authentic due to other chains. For details, see: al-Irwa' 292.
2؎: Hadith «لأستغفرن لك ما لم أنه عنك» Its takhrij has been done by Abu Dawud and al-Bayhaqi in al-Sunan al-Kubra, and Shaykh al-Albani has included it in Da'if al-Jami' (6256).
