Narrated Al-Irbad ibn Sariyyah: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ invited me to a meal shortly before dawn in Ramadan saying: Come to the blessed morning meal.

Benefits and Issues: Eating is an inherent part of human nature, but in following the Shariah, the pre-dawn meal (suhoor) becomes a blessed meal. Since the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is the conveyor of revelation and does not speak from his own desire, therefore, even if a person does not feel inclined to eat suhoor, he should at least take a few morsels, or a date, or a few sips of some drink, so that he may attain a share of this blessing.
