´It was narrated that Zirr said:` "We said to Hudhaifah: 'At what time did you take Sahur with the Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'It was daytime, but before the sun had risen." (Daif)

Hadith Takhrij «
Brief Explanation
1؎ : By "day" is meant the legal (shar‘i) day, which begins at the appearance of true dawn (subh sadiq). 2؎ : By "sun" is meant the appearance of dawn (tulu‘ al-fajr); the meaning is that you (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) would partake of suhur when the appearance of dawn was near. This meaning is determined from the subsequent narration of Hudhayfah (radi Allahu anhu), and not that it refers to the sun being near to rising during the day.
