Hadith 2061

أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عَوْنُ بْنُ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ ، قَالَ : خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعْدَ مَا غَرَبَتِ الشَّمْسُ فَسَمِعَ صَوْتًا , فَقَالَ : " يَهُودُ تُعَذَّبُ فِي قُبُورِهَا " .
´It was narrated that Abu Ayyub said:` "The Messenger of Allah went out after the sun had set, and heard a sound. He said '(It is ) Jews being tormented in their graves.

The punishment of the grave occurs to everyone. For some, it is limited to questioning and answering; for others, it is to the extent of being compressed even more; for some, it is for a short period; for others, it is forever (until the Day of Resurrection). Most likely, the Jewish cemetery was nearby. This was a miracle of the Noble Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam).
