´It was narrated that 'Abdur-Rahman bin Abi Laila said:` "Sahl bin Hunaif and Qais bin Sa'd bin 'Ubadah were in Al-Qadisiyyah when a funeral passed by them, so they stood up and it was said to them: 'It is one of the local people.' They said: 'A funeral passed the Messenger of Allah and he stood up, and it was said to him: It Is a Jew. He said: 'Is it not a soul?"'

1922. Commentary: Regardless of religion, humanity itself should be respected, and in death, Muslims and disbelievers are equal. Furthermore, showing tolerance towards disbelievers will become a means of bringing them closer to Islam. To deviate from human requirements due to religious differences is contrary to the religion of nature (din al-fitrah). The religion of Islam even shows compassion towards animals. Many ahadith of the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) indicate this.
