أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الزُّهْرِيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو ، سَمِعَ جَابِرًا ، يَقُولُ : " وَكَانَ الْعَبَّاسُ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَطَلَبَتِ الْأَنْصَارُ ثَوْبًا يَكْسُونَهُ فَلَمْ يَجِدُوا قَمِيصًا يَصْلُحُ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا قَمِيصَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أُبَيٍّ فَكَسَوْهُ إِيَّاهُ " .
´It was narrated that 'Amr heard Jabir say:` "And Al-'Abass was in Al-Madinah, and he asked the Ansar for a garment to clothe him in, but they could not find a shirt that would fit him except the shirt of 'Abdullah bin Ubayy, so they clothed him in it."
Brief Explanation
1؎ : And as a recompense for this favor, upon his death, you (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) gave your shirt to Abdullah bin Ubayy.

1903. Commentary: The purpose of the Imam in mentioning this narration is to show that when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam gave his shirt at the time of her death, in reality, it was a recompense for the shirt she had given to your uncle, because you (the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) would always return a favor.
