Hadith 1633

أَخْبَرَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ , وَثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " أَتَيْتُ عَلَى مُوسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام عِنْدَ الْكَثِيبِ الْأَحْمَرِ وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ يُصَلِّي " , قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ : هَذَا أَوْلَى بِالصَّوَابِ عِنْدَنَا مِنْ حَدِيثِ مُعَاذِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ وَاللَّهُ تَعَالَى أَعْلَمُ .
´It was narrated from Anas that :` The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "I came to Musa at the red dune and he was standing and praying."
Brief Explanation
1؎: That is, the presence of «عن سلیمان وثابت» in this chain with a conjunction (harf ‘atf) is more correct compared to it being «عن سلیمان عن ثابت».

1633. Commentary: In the narration of Mu'adh bin Khalid, Sulaiman al-Taymi is shown as a student of Thabit, whereas the correct matter is that both are companions, and both are narrating this hadith from Anas radi Allahu anhu, as is made clear from hadith number 1633.
