Hadith 1632

´It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that:` The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "On the night on which I was taken on the Night Journey (Al-Isra') I came to Musa, peace be upon him, at the red dune, and he was standing, praying in his grave."

Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Muhammad Ameen
1632. Commentary: There is another narration that the grave of Musa (alayhis salam) is near the red sandhill. (Sahih al-Bukhari, al-Jana'iz, Hadith: 1339, and Sahih Muslim, al-Fada'il, Hadith: 2372) The fact that Musa (alayhis salam) performs prayer in his grave is a matter of the Barzakh (intermediate realm), which was unveiled to the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam). If this occurs with the body as well as the soul, then that body too will be a barzakhī (of the intermediate realm) body; therefore, this cannot establish the worldly life of the Prophets (alayhimus salam). The existence of barzakhī life is not denied.
