´It was narrated that Asma' bint Abi Bakr said:` The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prayed during an eclipse. He stood for a long time, then he bowed for a long time, then he stood up and (remained standing) for a long time, then he bowed for a long time, then he stood up, then he prostrated for a long time, then he stood up and (remained standing) for a long time, then he bowed for a long time, then he stood up, then he prostrated for a long time, then he sat up, then he prostrated for a long time, then he sat up and then he finished."

Hadith Commentary:
The purpose of bringing this hadith here is also to show that if a person, despite having the ability and ease, does not provide food or water to any living being, and that creature dies due to hunger or thirst, then this crime can become a cause for that person to enter Hellfire.
Indeed, this woman imprisoned the cat until it died of hunger and thirst, and thus she deserved this punishment. If she had given it water to drink, she would not have been punished. From this, the virtue of giving water to drink is understood, and this is in accordance with the chapter heading.

Hadith Commentary:
The method of prayer is the same for both solar and lunar eclipses.
Delivering a sermon and making supplication after the prayer is also established.
From this narration, it is also understood that whoever oppresses animals will be recompensed for that in the Hereafter.
Hafiz (rahimahullah) has transmitted from Ibn Rashid (rahimahullah) the correspondence between the hadith and the chapter as follows: The supplication and request for mercy by the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) is mentioned within the prayer itself, so it is understood that making all kinds of supplications within the prayer is permissible, provided that those supplications remain within the boundaries set by the Shariah.
