´It was narrated that 'Ali said:` "The Prophet (ﷺ) forbade me from wearing gold rings, from reciting the Qur'an when bowing, and from wearing Al-Qassi, and clothes dyed with safflower."
Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Muhammad Ameen
1042. Commentary:
➊ When a gold ring is prohibited, then other gold ornaments are even more strictly prohibited.
➋ Clothes dyed with safflower (mu‘aṣfar), colored with the dye of kusumba, are also permissible for women, but not for men; otherwise, there will be resemblance to women. Furthermore, there will also be resemblance to ascetics (sadhus). Men should give more consideration to dignity rather than adornment.
