أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قال : أَنْبَأَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي صَلَاةِ الْعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ بِ الشَّمْسِ وَضُحَاهَا وَأَشْبَاهِهَا مِنَ السُّوَرِ " .
´It was narrated from Abdullah bin Buraidah, from his father, that:` The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to recite 'By the sun and its brightness' and similar surahs in Isha'.

1000. Commentary: From these narrations, it is understood that reciting the middle-length mufassal surahs in the ‘Isha prayer is recommended (mustahabb).
