Hadith 1790
It reached Imam Malik that when the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, placed his foot in the stirrup intending to travel, he would say: "In the name of Allah, I set out on this journey. O Lord! You are the companion in travel and the successor over my family. O Lord! Bring us close to the land where we are going, and make the journey easy for us. O Lord! I seek refuge with You from the hardship of travel, from a bad return, and from a bad situation regarding family and wealth."
Hadith 1791
It is narrated from Sayyida Khawla bint Hakim (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever stops at any place and says, 'I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah, the Most Glorious, from the evil of all creatures,' nothing will harm him until he departs from that place."
