Hadith 1741
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A good dream of a righteous person is one part of the forty-six parts of prophethood."
Hadith 1742
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated the same from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
Hadith 1743
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) finished the morning prayer, he would say: "Did any of you see a dream last night?" And he would say: "Nothing will remain of prophethood after me except good dreams." (This too is a part of prophethood, this will remain.)
Hadith 1744
It is narrated from Hazrat Ata bin Yasar that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "After me, nothing will remain of Prophethood except glad tidings (mubashshirat)." The Companions, may Allah be pleased with them, asked: "O Messenger of Allah, what are glad tidings?" He, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Good dreams which a righteous person sees, or which are seen for him by another; this is one part out of forty-six parts of Prophethood."
Hadith 1745
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah bin Rabi’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say: “A good dream is from Allah, and a bad dream is from Satan. So when any of you sees a bad dream, he should spit lightly to his left three times and seek refuge with Allah from its evil, then it will not harm him, if Allah wills.” Abu Salamah said: Previously, I used to see dreams whose burden felt heavier on me than a mountain, but since I heard this hadith, I do not care about them.
Hadith 1746
Hazrat Urwah bin Zubair used to say that when Allah, the Glorious and Exalted, said: «﴿لَهُمُ الْبُشْرَى فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ﴾ [يونس : 64]» "For them are glad tidings in the life of this world and in the Hereafter," what is meant by this is good dreams which a person sees himself or which someone else sees for him.
