Hadith 1704
It is narrated from ‘Abbad bin Tamim that Sayyiduna Abu Bashir Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) informed him that he was with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on a journey, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent a message through a man while the people were sleeping: “Let there not remain any necklace of string or any amulet on the neck of any camel except that it be cut off.”
Imam Malik (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I think those people used to tie those amulets for protection against the evil eye.
