بَابُ النَّهْيِ عَنِ الشُّرْبِ فِي آنِيَةِ الْفِضَّةِ ، وَالنَّفْخِ فِي الشَّرَابِ
Prohibition of Drinking from Silver Vessels and Blowing into Drinks
Hadith 1675
حَدَّثَنِي، عَنْ مَالِك، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " الَّذِي يَشْرَبُ فِي آنِيَةِ الْفِضَّةِ إِنَّمَا يُجَرْجِرُ فِي بَطْنِهِ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ "
It is narrated from Umm al-Mu'minin Sayyida Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever drinks (or eats) from a vessel of silver (or gold), he is gulping down the fire of Hell into his belly."
Hadith 1676
وَحَدَّثَنِي، عَنْ مَالِك، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ مَوْلَى سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُثَنَّى الْجُهَنِيِّ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : كُنْتُ عِنْدَ مَرْوَانَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيُّ، فَقَالَ لَهُ مَرْوَانُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ : أَسَمِعْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنِ النَّفْخِ فِي الشَّرَابِ ؟ فَقَالَ لَهُ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ : نَعَمْ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي لَا أَرْوَى مِنْ نَفَسٍ وَاحِدٍ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " فَأَبِنْ الْقَدَحَ عَنْ فِيكَ ؟ ثُمَّ تَنَفَّسْ "، قَالَ : فَإِنِّي أَرَى الْقَذَاةَ فِيهِ، قَالَ : " فَأَهْرِقْهَا "
It is narrated from Abu Mathna Johani, he says: I was sitting with Marwan bin Hakam when suddenly Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) came. Marwan said to him: Have you heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) that he forbade blowing into water? Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Yes! A man said: O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)! I am not satisfied with one breath. So he (peace be upon him) said: "Separate the cup from your mouth and then take a breath." Then that man said: What should I do if I see dirt in the water? The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Pour it out."
