بَابُ مَا يُكْرَهُ أَنْ يُنْبَذَ جَمِيعًا
Chapter on what is disliked to be fermented together
Hadith 1582
حوَحَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ «نَهَى أَنْ يُنْبَذَ الْبُسْرُ وَالرُّطَبُ جَمِيعًا وَالتَّمْرُ وَالزَّبِيبُ جَمِيعًا»
It is narrated from Ata bin Yasar that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade that unripe dates and ripe dates be soaked together, or that dates and grapes be soaked together.
Hadith 1583
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ الثِّقَةِ عِنْدَهُ، عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحُبَابِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ «نَهَى أَنْ يُشْرَبَ التَّمْرُ وَالزَّبِيبُ جَمِيعًا وَالزَّهْوُ وَالرُّطَبُ جَمِيعًا» ¤
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah Ansari, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade drinking nabidh made by mixing dates and grapes, and (also) drinking nabidh made by mixing unripe and ripe dates.
Hadith 1583B1
قَالَ مَالِكٌ : وَهُوَ الْأَمْرُ الَّذِي لَمْ يَزَلْ عَلَيْهِ أَهْلُ الْعِلْمِ بِبَلَدِنَا أَنَّهُ يُكْرَهُ ذَلِكَ لِنَهْيِ رَسُولِ اللّٰهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْهُ.
Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, said: The scholars of our city have agreed upon this matter that it is disliked, because the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade it.
