Hadith 1494
عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ، أَنَّ فِي الْكِتَابِ الَّذِي كَتَبَهُ رَسُولُ اللّٰهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِعَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ فِي الْعُقُولِ أَنَّ فِي النَّفْسِ مِائَةً مِنَ الْإِبِلِ. وَفِي الْأَنْفِ، إِذَا أُوعِيَ جَدْعًا مِائَةٌ مِنَ الْإِبِلِ. وَفِي الْمَأْمُومَةِ ثُلُثُ الدِّيَةِ وَفِي الْجَائِفَةِ مِثْلُهَا. وَفِي الْعَيْنِ خَمْسُونَ. وَفِي الْيَدِ خَمْسُونَ. وَفِي الرِّجْلِ خَمْسُونَ. وَفِي كُلِّ أُصْبُعٍ مِمَّا هُنَالِكَ. عَشْرٌ مِنَ الْإِبِلِ. وَفِي السِّنِّ خَمْسٌ. وَفِي الْمُوضِحَةِ خَمْسٌ.
It is narrated from Abu Bakr bin Muhammad bin Amr bin Hazm that in the book which the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, wrote for Amr bin Hazm regarding the explanation of blood money (diyat), it was stated that the blood money for a life is one hundred camels, and for the nose when it is completely cut off, one hundred camels, and for a ma'moomah (a wound reaching the membrane of the brain) one third of the blood money, and for a jaifah (a wound reaching the body cavity) also one third of the blood money, and the blood money for an eye is fifty camels, and for a hand also fifty, and for a foot also fifty, and for each finger ten camels, and for each tooth five camels, and the blood money for a mudhihah (a wound exposing the bone) is five camels.
