Hadith 1190Q1
Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, said that if a free man or a slave divorces a slave woman, or a slave divorces a free woman, even if she is pregnant, her maintenance will not be obligatory upon him, when it is an irrevocable divorce in which return (ruju‘) is not possible.
Hadith 1190Q2
Malik (may Allah have mercy on him) said that if a free man marries a slave woman, and she bears him a child, then the cost of nursing is not upon the husband, but rather upon the owner of the mother, because the child is his slave. And if a slave marries a slave woman and she bears him a child, then the cost of nursing is not upon the slave, because it is not permissible for a slave to spend his master's wealth on someone who is not the property of the master without the master's permission.
