بَابُ ادِّخَارِ لُحُومِ الْأَضَاحِيِّ

Hadith 1065
حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِك، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ الْمَكِّيِّ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " نَهَى عَنْ أَكْلِ لُحُومِ الضَّحَايَا بَعْدَ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ، ثُمَّ قَالَ بَعْدُ : " كُلُوا وَتَصَدَّقُوا وَتَزَوَّدُوا وَادَّخِرُوا "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had previously forbidden keeping the meat of sacrificial animals for more than three days. Then afterwards he said: "Eat, and give (to others), and give for the sake of Allah, and make provisions from it and keep it."
Hadith 1066
وَحَدَّثَنِي، عَنْ مَالِك، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ وَاقِدٍ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ أَكْلِ لُحُومِ الضَّحَايَا بَعْدَ ثَلَاثٍ "، قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ : فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِعَمْرَةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، فَقَالَتْ : صَدَقَ، سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، تَقُولُ : دَفَّ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَادِيَةِ حَضْرَةَ الْأَضْحَى، فِي زَمَانِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " ادَّخِرُوا لِثَلَاثٍ وَتَصَدَّقُوا بِمَا بَقِيَ "، قَالَتْ : فَلَمَّا كَانَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ، قِيلَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : لَقَدْ كَانَ النَّاسُ يَنْتَفِعُونَ بِضَحَايَاهُمْ وَيَجْمُلُونَ مِنْهَا الْوَدَكَ، وَيَتَّخِذُونَ مِنْهَا الْأَسْقِيَةَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " وَمَا ذَلِكَ ؟ " أَوْ كَمَا قَالَ . قَالُوا : نَهَيْتَ عَنْ لُحُومِ الضَّحَايَا بَعْدَ ثَلَاثٍ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّمَا نَهَيْتُكُمْ مِنْ أَجْلِ الدَّافَّةِ الَّتِي دَفَّتْ عَلَيْكُمْ فَكُلُوا، وَتَصَدَّقُوا، وَادَّخِرُوا " . يَعْنِي بِالدَّافَّةِ قَوْمًا مَسَاكِينَ قَدِمُوا الْمَدِينَةَ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Waqid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade eating the meat of sacrificial animals after three days. Abdullah bin Abi Bakr said: I narrated this to Umrah bint Abdur Rahman, and she said: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Waqid (may Allah be pleased with him) has spoken the truth. I heard from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that some people from the desert came during Eid al-Adha in the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), so he said: "Keep the meat for three days and give the rest for the sake of Allah after that." The people said to him: O Messenger of Allah! Before this, people used to benefit from their sacrifices, and they used to store their fat and make water skins from their hides. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "What is the matter?" They said: Now you have forbidden keeping the meat of the sacrifice for more than three days. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "I did that because some poor people from the desert had come. Now eat the meat of the sacrifice, give charity, and store it."
Hadith 1067
وَحَدَّثَنِي، عَنْ مَالِك، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، أَنَّهُ قَدِمَ مِنْ سَفَرٍ فَقَدَّمَ إِلَيْهِ أَهْلُهُ لَحْمًا، فَقَالَ : انْظُرُوا أَنْ يَكُونَ هَذَا مِنْ لُحُومِ الْأَضْحَى، فَقَالُوا : هُوَ مِنْهَا، فَقَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ : أَلَمْ يَكُنْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْهَا ؟ فَقَالُوا : إِنَّهُ قَدْ كَانَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعْدَكَ أَمْرٌ، فَخَرَجَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ فَسَأَلَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ، فَأُخْبِرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ لُحُومِ الْأَضْحَى بَعْدَ ثَلَاثٍ فَكُلُوا، وَتَصَدَّقُوا، وَادَّخِرُوا، وَنَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنِ الِانْتِبَاذِ، فَانْتَبِذُوا وَكُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ، وَنَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ زِيَارَةِ الْقُبُورِ، فَزُورُوهَا وَلَا تَقُولُوا هُجْرًا يَعْنِي لَا تَقُولُوا سُوءًا "
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) returned from a journey, and the people of his household placed meat before him. He said: "See, is this the meat of sacrifice?" They said: "It is indeed from the sacrifice." Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had forbidden this. The people said: "After you, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave another ruling in this matter." Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him) left the house to investigate this matter. When news reached him that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had said: "I had forbidden you from eating the meat of sacrifice after three days, but now eat, give in charity, and store it. And I had forbidden you from making nabidh in certain vessels, now make it in whichever vessel you wish, but whatever causes intoxication is forbidden. And I had forbidden you from visiting graves, now visit the graves, but do not utter anything evil from your mouths (i.e., words of disbelief or ungratefulness)."
