بَابُ حَجِّ الْمَرْأَةِ بِغَيْرِ ذِي مَحْرَمٍ
A Woman Performing Hajj Without a Mahram
Hadith Q957
قَالَ مَالِكٌ : فِي الصَّرُورَةِ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ الَّتِي لَمْ تَحُجَّ قَطُّ : إِنَّهَا، إِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهَا ذُو مَحْرَمٍ يَخْرُجُ مَعَهَا، أَوْ كَانَ لَهَا، فَلَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ مَعَهَا : أَنَّهَا لَا تَتْرُكُ فَرِيضَةَ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْهَا فِي الْحَجِّ. لِتَخْرُجْ فِي جَمَاعَةِ النِّسَاءِ.
Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, said: Those women who do not have husbands and have not performed Hajj, if they do not have a mahram or have one but he is unable to accompany them, then she should not abandon the obligatory Hajj, rather she should go for Hajj with other women.
