بَابُ التَّلْبِيدِ
Applying Gum to the Hair
Hadith 895
حَدَّثَنِي حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِك، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ ضَفَرَ رَأْسَهُ، فَلْيَحْلِقْ، وَلَا تَشَبَّهُوا بِالتَّلْبِيدِ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Whoever plaits his hair (at the time of Ihram), he should shave his head when exiting Ihram, and do not plait the hair in such a way that it resembles talbeed.
Hadith 896
وَحَدَّثَنِي، عَنْ مَالِك، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ عَقَصَ رَأْسَهُ، أَوْ ضَفَرَ أَوْ لَبَّدَ، فَقَدْ وَجَبَ عَلَيْهِ الْحِلَاقُ "
It is narrated from Sa'id bin al-Musayyib that Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, said: Whoever ties, plaits, or applies gum or does talbeed to the hair (at the time of Ihram), then it becomes obligatory upon him to shave his head.
