Hadith 807
حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ
جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ
أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ
جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
" رَمَلَ مِنْ الْحَجَرِ الْأَسْوَدِ حَتَّى انْتَهَى إِلَيْهِ ثَلَاثَةَ أَطْوَافٍ " .¤ قَالَ مَالِك : وَذَلِكَ الْأَمْرُ الَّذِي لَمْ يَزَلْ عَلَيْهِ أَهْلُ الْعِلْمِ بِبَلَدِنَا
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah, may Allah be pleased with him, that he said: I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, perform ramal from the Black Stone to the Black Stone in three circuits.
Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, said: The scholars of our city act upon this.
Hadith 808
وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ
نَافِعٍ ، أَنَّ
عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ " كَانَ
يَرْمُلُ مِنْ الْحَجَرِ الْأَسْوَدِ إِلَى الْحَجَرِ الْأَسْوَدِ ثَلَاثَةَ أَطْوَافٍ وَيَمْشِي أَرْبَعَةَ أَطْوَافٍ "
It is narrated from Nafi‘ that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to perform ramal (brisk walking) from the Black Stone to the Black Stone in three circuits, and in the remaining four circuits he would walk at a normal pace.
Hadith 809
وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ
هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، أَنَّ
أَبَاهُ كَانَ إِذَا طَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ يَسْعَى الْأَشْوَاطَ الثَّلَاثَةَ ، يَقُولُ :
" اللَّهُمَّ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَا وَأَنْتَ تُحْيِي بَعْدَ مَا أَمَتَّا " يَخْفِضُ صَوْتَهُ بِذَلِكَ
When Hazrat Urwah bin Zubair performed Tawaf of the Ka'bah, he would walk briskly in three circuits, and softly say: O Allah! There is no true deity except You, and You will resurrect us after death.
Hadith 810
Hazrat Urwah bin Zubair saw Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him), he entered into the state of ihram for umrah from Taneem, then he saw that he was walking briskly (raml) in the first three circuits around the House of the Ka'bah.
Hadith 811
وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ
نَافِعٍ ، أَنَّ
عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ
إِذَا أَحْرَمَ مِنْ مَكَّةَ لَمْ يَطُفْ بِالْبَيْتِ وَلَا بَيْنَ الصَّفَا ، وَالْمَرْوَةِ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ مِنْ مِنًى ، وَكَانَ لَا يَرْمُلُ إِذَا طَافَ حَوْلَ الْبَيْتِ إِذَا أَحْرَمَ مِنْ مَكَّةَ "
It is narrated from Nafi‘ that when Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) would enter into ihram from Makkah, he would neither perform tawaf of the House (Ka‘bah) nor perform sa‘i between Safa and Marwah, until he returned from Mina, and he would not perform ramal.
